Obituary for Isabinda (Estes) Glover

from The Republican (Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana)--issue of Thursday, May 31, 1900—page 7, column 3:

Isabinda Estes was born in Hendricks county May 5, 1841, and died May 16, 1900, aged 59 years and 11 days. She professed faith in Christ in January, 1861, and joined the Clayton Baptist church. She was married to A.R. Glover, October 4, 1866. He was a veteran soldier. To them were born two children. One died an infant. The other is now Mrs. Samantha Frazier. For twenty years her church relation was with the Friendship church, but was returned to the Clayton church in 1890. She was a faithful wife and an affectionate mother. She was a kind and obliging neighbor, and in her home life the christian graces were very prominent. She never had aught to say against any one. She had been a sufferer for thirty-three years, and the last ten years at times her sufferings were intense. Yet she bore it with that fortitude that ever characterizes a true christian. She requested the writer to preach the funeral discourse which was done on the 18th inst. She leaves a husband, one daughter, two grand children, one sister, two brothers and a host of friends to mourn their loss, but her gain is the “inheritance that fadeth not away.” The kindred have the sympathy of the church and community. -- R.N.
