from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)--issue of Thursday, April 30, 1903—page 1, column 5:

Death of Aaron Hart

Aaron Hart, one of Danville's good citizens, died Monday morning of asthma and heart disease. He had been an invalid for some three years and during that time had a number of paraletic [sic] strokes. He was born Dec. 25, 1827, in Bath county, Kentucky, and was the son of John Hart. In 1839, he moved with his parents to this county and located near New Winchester. A few years later he came to Danville. In 1849 he was married to Miss Ann McKinley, who died soon afterwards. In 1850 he was married to Miss Margaret McKinley, a sister of his first wife. To this union were born four children, two of whom—William Hart, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. C.E. Farabee, of this city—survive. Mrs. Hart died in 1888. The deceased was a veteran of two wars—Mexican and civil [sic]. In June, 1846, he enlisted in an Indiana regiment and served throughout the Mexican war and in December, 1863, he enlisted in the 9th Indiana cavalry and served to the end of the rebellion. He was a member of the M.E. church and of the I.O.O.F. To the latter organization he belonged for fifty years. The funeral was yesterday afternoon from his late home, the services being conducted by the Revs. Doan and Stewart. Services at the grave were conducted by the Odd Fellows. Interment was in the East cemetery.
