Ralph L. Henderson
Services for Ralph L. Henderson, 69, lifelong resident of Brownsburg and retired realtor, were Wednesday, June 4 in Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with Chaplain Larry Whinnery officiating. Burial was in Brownsburg Cemetery.
The son of Irvin and Ruth Smith Henderson, he was born October 29, 1916 at Brownsburg. On February 7, 1942 he married Rowena Phillips who survives.
Mr. Henderson who died Monday, June 2 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, was a 1935 graduate of Brownsburg High School and attended Indiana Universty. He owned and operated Henderson & Co. Realtors from 1943 to 1985, and previously had been employed at the former Brownsburg State Bank.
He was a member of Brownsburg Christian Church and Brownsburg Masonic Lodge, where he was Past Master. He was a charter memeber and had served as secretary and president of the Hendricks County Board of Realtors and was a member of the National Association of Realtors.
Surviving with his wife are son, Dr. Terry Henderson, Indianapolis; daughter, Nancy Hobson, Brownsburg; mother, Ruth Henderson, Prescott, Az.; brother, Lloyd Henderson, Phoenix, Az; sister, Ardith Carlise, Dewey, Az; and four grandchildren.
