Cordis Herdrich, age 82, died at her home in Brownsburg, September 8. Services were, Saturday, in the Jones & Matthews Mortuary with the Rev. Jerry Nash officiating. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Herdrich was born May 30, 1895, the daughter of Loren L. and Lewellyn West Gentry. She was a graduate of the former Central Normal College in Danville and an elementary school teacher in Brownsburg for 35 years. And also taught in Warren and Decatur townships. She was a Past Matron of the Brownsburg Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Pythian Sisters, the Brownsburg Christian Church and a past president of the Centennial Chapter of the International Study Club.
Surviving is a daughter, Margaret Burns of Brownsburg; a brother, Newell Gentry of Brownsburg; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
