Services for Eugene Lee Hoffman, 56, of Mooresville were held Dec. 14 at Carlisle and Son Funeral Home, Mooresville.
Mr. Hoffman who died Dec. 12 at Methodist Hospital was born Oct. 14, 1932, the son of James A. and Eva (Kinnett) Hoffman. He was married to Lois (Phillips), who survives. He had been a mail carrier for the city of Indianapolis and also a real estate broker. He was a member of the Acton United Methodist church, the American Legion of Indianapolis, National Association of Letter Carriers and had served as a volunteer in the fire departments of Fountaintown and Acton. He had also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a son, James A. Hoffman of New Palestine, two daughters, Mary Davis of Indianapolis and Elizabeth Stanhouse of Bloomington; four brothers, Kenneth and Herbert of Mooresville and Ronald and Michael Hoffman; one sister, Keba Turner of Mooresville and three grandchildren. John Dickey officiated at the services and burial was in White Lick Cemetery of Mooresville.
