LAST RITES FOR MRS. CLARK HOWELL

Funeral services for Josephine Howell, wife of Clark Howell, former residents were held at Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary Sunday afternoon, with burial in Noblesville cemetery. Mrs. Howell died suddenly Friday, of complications following a two years illness. The Eastern Star organization had charge of the service. At the time she suffered a stroke two years ago, she was employed at Ayres store, Indianapolis. She was born near Tilden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Phillips.

Following her marriage to Clark Howell of Danville, they made their home here where he operated a grocery with his father. They moved to Indianapolis, and a few years ago returned here and operated a restaurant at the present location of the East Side. Survivors are the husband and a daughter, Mrs. Doris Dittbrenner and a granddaughter Judy, of Noblesville; also a sister, Mrs. Chester Neal, and three brothers, Raleigh of Speedway City; Herbert of Danville; and Dudley of Brownsburg. She was a niece of Mrs. Anna Mitchell of Danville. Mrs. Mitchell and son Harold, attended the service Sunday.
