Adaline Lawyer

Libby Adaline Lawyer of R.R. 3, Danville, died, Wednesday evening of last week, after a few days' illness at the age of 68 years. She lived in a trailer at the farm home of her daughter, Mrs. Oscar Mallicoat.

A native of Humansville, Mo., she was born March 7, 1893. On September 9, 1912 she was married to the late Branson Lawyer who died in 1933. Following his death she supported her family of nine children by doing odd jobs. Although she was not a member of any church she was converted to the Christian faith in 1945.

Services were conducted, Saturday afternoon, in the Weaver Funeral Home with the Rev. George W. Smith officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.

Surviving with the daughter are three sons, Clarence Lawyer, of Indianapolis; Guy Lawyer, of Springfield, Mo., and Elza Lawyer of Jacksonville, Fla.; five other daughters, Mrs. Lula Oringdreff, Mrs. Helen Ball and Mrs. Lea Wills, all of Danville, Mrs. Agnes Lindley of Frankfort, and Mrs. Elma Piper of Humansville, Mo.; two brothers, three sisters and 14 grandchildren.
