from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)--issue of Thursday, December 26, 1912—page 1, column 6:

AARON LINEINGER
Passing of Well Known Pioneer Citizen of Hendricks County

Aaron Lineinger died, Sunday, at the home of his son, Alfred S. Lineinger, aged 90 years, four months and 25 days. The funeral was Tuesday morning, the services being conducted by Rev. David Hadley assisted by Rev. A.L. Miller and Silcox lodge I.O.O.F. Interment was in the East cemetery.

Uncle Aaron was born in Ohio, July 28, 1822, the eighth child in a family of twelve children. He is survived by a brother, John, in his 89th year, too feeble to journey here to the funeral.

At the age of 23, he went to Iowa and after a year, came to Hendricks county. July 31, 1849 he and Margaret Duzan were married, she passing to her long home March 31, 1895. To them were born two children, Samantha Ensminger and Alfred S. Lineinger, who survive with four children.

Uncle Aaron had been an Odd Fellow since 1864. He was a man of studious habits and good business qualifications, an affectionate husband and father and a kind neighbor, enjoying the confidence and esteem of a large circle of friends who admired him for his sterling integrity. The latter part of his life he was a helpless invalid. Near the close of his life, he said: “I wish to go home” and peacefully asleep.
