Graveside services were May 4 in the IOOF Cemetery at Jamestown for Richard M. Miller, age 82, Indianapolis, who died May 1 in Houston Village Healthcare, there. Rev. Ronny Delong officiated. Porter Funeral Home at Jamestown was in charge of arrangements.
A native of Hendricks County, he was born Feb. 29, 1908, a son of John and Stella (Murray) Miller. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1926.
On Feb. 29, 1936 he married Mable Garner, who survives.
Mr. Miller retired from the Union State Bank in Carmel in 1973.
He was a member of the Central Christian Church of Carmel, the Carmel Masonic Lodge #421, Murat Temple and Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his widow, Mable, a resident of Autumn Care at Brownsburg; three daughters, Sandra Goodall of Jamestown, Lynn Nevitt of Carmel and Maribeth Davis of Danville; one sister, Mildred Carroll of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
