Obituary for Claris M. Murray

from The Republican (Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana)--issue of Thursday, April 18, 1901--page 1, column 3:

Claris M. Murray, son of Chas. and Mary E. Murray, of Oswego, Kansas, was killed April 7, on a trestle by a train near Temple, Texas. He had been in the employ of the bridge department of the M.K. & T. railroad for some years. The remains were brought to Oswego, Kansas, Thursday afternoon and the funeral took place from the family residence at ten o'clock Friday morning. The deceased was aged twenty-nine years and unmarried. Claris M. Murray lived with his parents at Clayton, Indiana, during his boyhood, where he is remembered by friends and relatives. He served eight months in the Spanish-American war.
