Rites for Chester Neal Held Today
Chester Neal of R.R. 1 passed away Monday, May 20 after several months illness. He had been in St. Vincent's hospital for six days prior to his death.
Born in Brownsburg, in 1889, he was the son of Tavner and Rachael Turpin Neal. He married Grace Phillips Neal in 1910. A former merchant of Brownsburg, he had farmed near Mooresville for the past fourteen years.
Funeral services will be held today Thursday, May 23 at 2 p.m. from Carlisle & son Chapel, where friends may call. Rev. William Tucker will conduct funeral services, burial to be in Brownsburg.
Surviving besides his wife, is a son, Marley Neal, and one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
