Obituary for Grace B. (Phillips) Neal

Grace B. Neal, 88, a former resident of east High street, died Sunday in the Home hospital in Lafayette.

A native of Hendricks county, she was born Dec. 5 1891, to David and Mary Jane West Phillips. On Dec. 4 1910, she married Chester Neal, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Neal had lived most of her life in Morgan county until 3 ½ years ago when she moved to Lafayette.

She was a housewife, a member of the Mooresville Christian Church and a 50-year member of the Pythian Sisters.

Survivors include a son, Marley Neal of Speedway; a brother, Herbert Phillips of Danville; a granddaughter, Marlene Jackson of Monrovia; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Reverend Ralph Wade conducted the funeral Tuesday afternoon in the Carlisle and Son funeral chapel. Interment was in Brownsburg cemetery.
