Logan R. Owen
Logan R. Owen, native of North Salem, died suddenly, Thursday, in Downey, Calif., at the age of 74 years.
He was born near North Salem December 8, 1887 the son of Oliver Perry and Florence Duckworth Owen. A former school teacher, he retired late in life to devote his time to farming. He was a member of the North Salem Christian Church.
Services were conducted, Monday morning, in the Porter Funeral Home in North Salem with the Rev. H.D. Searcy officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Russell I. and Perry N. Owen, both of North Salem; a daughter, Frances Wavrinct, of Matteson, Ill., and five grandchildren.
