ALVA PHILLIPS FOUND DEAD HERE TUESDAY
Alva C. "Sport" Phillips, age 76, was found dead in the rear of his home on South Kentucky street, here, Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Phillips had not been in good health recently and his death was attributed to heart trouble. He had been a resident of Danville for some ten years. Survivors are a brother, Walter Phillips, of Tuscola, Ill., and a daughter, Mrs. Sidney Phillips, Vancre, Ill. The funeral will be held at the Baker & Son Chapel, this afternoon, at 2 o'clock, with burial in the East cemetery.
