Chester Phillips, 89, Brownsburg, died Friday, Feb. 26 at his home. The son of Elmer and Myrta McCaslin Phillips, he was born Sept. 3, 1898 at Brownsburg. He married Harriet Ferguson, who preceded him in death in October 1985.
Services were Monday, Feb. 29 in Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with Rev. Larry Bellville officiating. Bural was in Brownsburg Cemetery, Inc.
Surviving are daughter, Rowena Henderson, Brownsburg; sons: Meredith and Lawrence Phillips, both of Brownsburg; sister, Leah Vernon, Brownsburg; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
