CLARENCE B. PHILLIPS

Clarence B. Phillips, age 82, died Saturday morning in the Witham Hospital, Lebanon. He was born in Brownsburg, the son of James W. and Lydia Gray Phillips. He was a former Hendricks County Commissioner and Superintendent of the County Home. His wife, the former Nelia Pearcy, preceded him two years ago.

He was a member of the K of P Lodge, Bethesda Baptist Church and Pittsboro Odd Fellows Lodge.

Services were Monday afternoon in the Jones & Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Garner, of Brownsburg; one son, Harold Phillips, of Fortville; four sisters, Mrs. Iva Bell and Mrs. Ruth Smith, both of Brownsburg; Mrs. Delta Brown and Mrs. Susie Smith, both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Roy Phillips, also of Brownsburg and Hiram Phillips of Virginia.
