Funeral services for Frances L. Phillips, age 55 were Tuesday afternoon from the Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Lester Yearick of the Brownsburg Christian Church officiating. Burial was in the Old Union Cemetery near Lebanon. She died, Sunday morning, at her home, 104 Scearce Avenue, Danville, following an extended illness. A native of Boone County, she was the daughter of James T. Hiland and Minnie Rosetta Hiland of Indianapolis who survives. On Dec. 20, 1939, she was married to Herbert Phillips also a survior. Surviving with the husband and mother are two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Finchum, Clayton, and Mrs. Rosetta Snelson, Indianapolis, and one brother, Cleo Hiland, Marion.
