A 58-year old farmer, George G. Phillips of Mooreville R. R. 4, died Saturday at the National Health Enterprises, Danville. Failing in health for one year, Mr. Phillips had been a patient there for three months. The son of Everett G. and Opal J. Atkinson Phillips, he was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Hendricks County. Mr. Phillips had lived in Hendricks County most of his life. Surviving him are his father, who resides on Mooresville R. R. 4; a daughter, Mrs. Beth Hurd of Indianapolis; four brothers, Jim Phillips of Mooresville, Tom Phillips of Huntington, Harry Phillips of Longview, Tex., and Joe Phillips of Fayetteville, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Hoffman and Mrs. Margaret Corya, both of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Betty Kudla of Plainfield, and a grandson. Funeral services have been set for Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Carlisle & Son Chapel in Mooresville. The Rev. Floyd Cook will conduct the services, and burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield. Friends may call anytime at the funeral home.
