Services for Harriet N. Phillips, 89, Brownsburg, were Saturday, October 26, in Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with Rev. Phil Poe officiating. Burial was in Brownsburg Cemetery, Inc.
The daughter of William and Irma Ferguson, she was born October 7, 1896 at Orange Heights, FL. Mrs. Phillips died Thursday, October 24, in Golden Manor Health Care Center, Brownsburg.
She had been a resident of Brownsburg since 1912 and was a 50-year member of the Brownsburg Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Phillips was also a member of Brown Township Home Economics Club; a charter and life member of Theta Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Psi Sorority; and a life member of the Pythian Sisters, Brownsburg, Surviving are husband, Chester F. Phillips; sons: Meredith Phillips and Lawrence Phillips, both od Brownsburg; daughter, Rowena Henderson, Brownsburg; brothers: Winston Coffman and Norman Coffman, both of Brownsburg; sisters: Ruth Haase, Mooresville, and Elda Coapstick, Frankfort; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
