Services were September 16, at the Baker Funeral Home, Danville for Herbert Phillips, age 86, Danville, who died September 13, in Hendricks County Hospital, here. Rev. Donald Herman officiated, Interment was in Union Cemetery. Born April 9, 1899, he was a son of David and Mollie Phillips. He did light hauling and farming for many years, but had retired from both occupations. He is survived by his widow, Gladys, and stepchildren, Tom, Terry, Billy, Larry, Kathy and Danny Pitcock; Betty Denton, Glenda Storms, Virginia Kidwell, Diana Bastin and Magie Mayer.
