RITES FOR MARY ALICE PHILLIPS WEDNESDAY P.M.
Following an illness of a year and a half, Mary Alice Phillips, age 92, passed away at her home on R.R. 1, Plainfield, on Monday, June 22.
Mrs. Phillips was born on July 22, 1866, the daughter of George Guyon Turley and Mary E. (Gossett) Turley. In March, 1891, she was married to Albert A. Phillips who preceded her in death in 1957. She was a member of the West Newton Methodist church and the West Newton Eastern Star.
Funeral services were held yesterday (Wednesday) at the Harvey Funeral Home in Mooresville with Rev. Richard Lancaster of the Plainfield Methodist church officiating. Burial was at Maple Hill cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Everett Phillips, Plainfield, R.R. 1; one daughter, Miss Estelle Phillips, Linton, Indiana; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Cleora Stone if Indianapolis.
