Meredith R. Phillips died April 23 at Hendricks Regional Health Danville. He was 77.
Services were April 26 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg with Rev. John Roof officiating. Burial was in the Brownsburg Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
A life-long resident of Brownsburg he was born June 8, 1925 the son of Chester and Harriett (Ferguson) Phillips.
He was an engineer for Eli Lilly & Co. for 48 years, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, Danville.
He was the widower of Carolyn Phillips.
He is survived by two sons, Craig Phillips of Anthem, Ariz. And David Phillips of Indianapolis; three daughters, Dian Hopper and Jeanette Wilson, both of Brownsburg and Jan Miller of Greenwood; a sister, Rowena Henderson of Brownsburg and six grandchildren.
