Obituary for Francis E. Richwine

FRANCIS E. RICHWINE, age 79, Jamestown, died July 6 in Westview Hospital. Services were July 10 in the Jamestown Christian Church of which he was a member. Harlan Kincade officiated. Burial was in the Brownsburg Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Born Oct. 12, 1921, in Brownsburg, he was the son of Forrest and Clara (Phillips) Richwine. He graduated from Brownsburg High School.

Mr. Richwine was an inspector for Allison Gas Turbine for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He also was president of F.E.Richwine Farms, Inc. in Jamestown. He had been a life-long resident of Hendricks and Boone counties. He along with his brother, Robert, were the Hendricks County Champions of the DeKalb Hybrid National Corn Growing Contest in 1946.

He was a member of the Hazelrigg Masonic Lodge #200, Scottish Rite and the Local 933 UAW.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary E. Mosley of Jamestown; a son, Kent R. Richwine of Mooresville; a step-son, Sid Wilson of Anderson; a brother, Meredith Richwine of Lebanon; two grandchildren. A brother, Robert Richwine and a sister, Phyllis Richwine, preceded.
