Obituary for Harry A. Rutledge

Harry A. Rutledge, lifetime resident of Lizton, died, Thursday, in the Hendricks County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past five weeks.

He had farmed in the Lizton community his lifetime and also was employed as a school bus driver for the past 32 years. He was a member of the Lizton Christian Church and the Hendricks County Farm Bureau.

Mr. Rutledge and his wife, Edith, who survives, had celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary, October 1, and he was taken to the hospital two days later.

Services were Sunday afternoon in the Lizton Christian Church with the Rev. Don Farrior officiating. Burial was in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Lizton, with the Jones & Matthews Mortuary of Brownsburg in charge of the service.

Surviving with the widow are five children, Mrs. Katherine Brady, Mrs. Maxine Dale, Mrs. Arline Wiley and John Rutledge, all of Lizton; and Robert Rutledge, of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Frona Koebrich, of Beech Grove; and Mrs. Lena McDonald, of Speedway; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
