After a long siege of measles and finally taking pneumonia, Mrs. Riley Smith died Thursday, May 3, at 5 p.m. She left to mourn for her eight small children and a husband but now only seven children are left, as the youngest child, age 7 months, gave up its life on Monday morning. The cause of its death being measles, also. Funeral services for the mother were conducted at the home by Brother Carter of the Friends church, Saturday at 10 A.M. with interment in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
