Mrs. Ruth Mae Smith, age 87, Brownsburg, died, March 4, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Services were, March 6, at the Jones & Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with burial in the Greenlawn Cemetery, there. Rev. Joe Wilson officiated.
Mrs. Smith was born, April 28, 1892 at Fayette, a daughter of James and Melvina (Gray) Phillips.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Dill of Brownsburg, Blanche Moore and Joan Grismore, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Alice Price of Miami, Fla.; a granddaughter, Sharon Archer of Brownsburg; 15 other grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delta Brown and Susie Smith, both of Indianapolis. A son, Kenneth Smith, preceded.
