Mrs. Cora (Ward) Smoot, age 86, rural Clayton, died, July 13, at her home. Services were, July 16, at the Weaver Funeral Home, Clayton, with burial in the Center Valley Cemetery. Rev. Steve Ranson officiated.
Born Feb. 6, 1894 at Cumberland, the daughter of Christian and Mena (Bade) Raab, she was married to Charles Smoot, who preceded. She was a member of the St. John Evangelical Church at Cumberland.
Survivors include a son, Alden Ward, Of Mooresville; a grandson, Ronald Ward of Brownsburg; a granddaughter, Mrs. Chester Hoop of Clayton, and four great-grandchildren.
