Glenn E. Smoot, 67, died at his home at 65 West High Street last Wednesday morning. He had been ill for six weeks.
Born in Indianapolis on May 24, 1914, he was the son of Charles and Cora Hobbard Smoot. He married Marjorie Hobson on August 21, 1937, and she survives.
A resident of Morgan county for 38 years, Smoot was an employee of Indianapolis Power and Light, a member of the First Christian church and a former Mooresville town board member.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Lanny Smoot of Clayton, and two grandchildren.
Reverend Daune Moss conducted the funeral services on Friday afternoon at Carlisie and Son chapel. Burial was in White Lick cemetery.
