Obituary for Anderson Turpin

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)--issue of Thursday, February 9, 1905--page 4:

Anderson Turpin, a well-known citizen, died at his home in Brownsburg, Jan. 30. He was born in Scott county, Ky., Oct. 3, 1831. When three years of age he moved with his parents to this county. He was married to Louisa E. Reupert, November 20, 1853. To this union six children were born. His health began to fail in February, 1902, and in April following he moved to Brownsburg, where he continued to grow worse until death claimed him. He united with the Christian church at Clermont in 1854 and remained a consistent member until his death. He leaves a wife and three children--Wilke Turpin, of Roachdale; Henry Turpin, of Clermont and Mrs. Tavner Neal of this place, and four brothers and one sister to mourn their lost husband, father and brother.
