Obituary for Lawrence E. Wing

Lawrence E. Wing, age 67, Jamestown, died May 28, at his home, there. Services were June 1 at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Rev. Raymond Rader officiating. Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery at Fayette.

A native of Perry Township, Boone County, he was born Oct. 9, 1931 the son of Oren and Evelyn (Weber) Wing. He graduated from Perry Central High School in 1949.

Mr. Wing was a dedicated lifetime farmer in the Lizton and Lebanon area and a lover of horses.

He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Lizton.

He is survived by his widow, Betty (McMillen) Wing; his father, Oren Wing of Lebanon; three sons, Roger D. (Laura Mae) Wing of Danville, Glenn M. (Debbie) Wing of Pollok, Tex., and Larry L. (April) Wing of Camby; two daughters, Diane E. Hartle of Jamestown and Sandra S. Cronin of Naperville, Ill.; two brothers, Lowell Wing of Brownsburg and Lavern Wing of Luray, Va.; three sisters, Marjorie Waggoner of Brownsburg, Jenny Preston and Patsy Marshall, both of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; Tisha Rae Wing Smith, Gregory Wayne Hartley, Matthew Dean Wing, Kimberly Smith, Amanda S. Wing, Justin T. Cronin, Ryan Lee Wing, Michael Wing and Kevin P. Cronin and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Smith.
