This is a copy of a published history of the family of James Smith (born May 27, 1794 in Scotland; died September 23, 1874 in Hendricks County, Indiana) and his wife Hannah Foster (born September 12, 1799 in Virginia; died September 4, 1872 near Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana), who are both buried in Danville.
