Hendricks County, Indiana College Records

NOTE: Central Normal College was a private college that existed in Danville from 1878 to 1946. In the summer of 1946 it was sold and renamed as Canterbury College, which existed until 1951. It was part of the "normal school" system, which focused on the training of teachers. Danville Public Library, Hendricks County Historical Museum and Hendricks County Government's Computer Center are collaborating on a project to digitize their collections of Central Normal College and Canterbury College's records.
