Hendricks County, Indiana Probate Records

The Hendricks County Clerk's Microfilm Department can help you find more information on a particular probate case. They are located on the second floor of the Hendricks County courthouse and can be reached by phone at (317) 745-9800.

Hendricks County probate order books volumes 1 through 43 (covering 1825-1921) have been microfilmed. That microfilm is available at the Plainfield Public Library, as well as the Indiana State Library and Family History Library. Hendricks County's probate order books for 1825-1918, its probate complete books for 1826-1905 and its will books for 1826-1906 are also available as part of Ancestry.com's database, Indiana, Wills and Probate Records, 1798-1999 (a subscription is required).
